What Do You Select To Promote Your Business? Online Advertising Or Print Advertising

Entrepreneurs have various methods to promote their businesses. Online advertising and print advertising are two major advertising methods available to promote businesses. There are various discussions and comparisons about the effectiveness of these two methods. Which one is the best? Is it online adverting, or is it print advertising?

It is very difficult to say that one method is better than the other one. However, both give different benefits. You can use both these advertising methods according to the nature of the business and customer characteristics. Here are some few characteristics and advantages of both advertising methods.

First, consider the speed of the process. The process of print advertising is slower than online advertising. Most of the processes associates with print advertising are performed manually, and they take much time to complete the entire process. Main activities like advertisement designing, printing, circulations are some time consuming processes. But in online advertising, most of the processes are quicker other than advertisement designing. It takes only a few hours to launch an online campaign, but it may take days or weeks to launch a print advertising campaign.

Online advertising again in the head when considers the exposure. Circulation of a newspaper or any other print material is minimal when it compares with the internet. You can distribute your marketing message globally though the internet. Print media have many geographical barriers, but the internet does not have. Sometimes, you must repeat your advertisement in print media to achieve good results.

You can specifically target your potential customers through online advertising. Through search engine marketing and keyword optimization, your ads will display only to your target audience. However, it is rather difficult to target a specific set of people through print media. Hence, online advertising will bring potential customers to a business more than print advertising. However, print media is very useful to reach to people who do not use the internet and the people who are not IT savvy.

There are some cheap online advertising methods, and there are also very expensive ones. Generally, print advertising is considered more expensive than online advertising, but we cannot say exactly without discussing it broadly.

Most of the above described characteristics imply that online advertising is greater than print advertising. However, this does not imply that we want to quit completely from print media. There are many benefits which are given by print advertising like tangibility and credibility. Hence, make sure to use a proper mix of both these advertising methods to achieve marketing benefits.
